4-Player Cribbage (Partnership)

4-Player Cribbage is a partnership game for two teams of two. Partners sit across from each other and combine their scores throughout the game.

The Deal

Each player is dealt 5 cards and discards 1 card to the crib, giving each player a 4-card hand and a full 4-card crib.

Teams

Players sit in alternating team order around the table: Team A — Team B — Team A — Team B. Partners’ pegging scores and show scores are combined into a single team total on a shared cribbage board track.

Pegging and Show

Identical to standard Cribbage. Pegging proceeds clockwise from the dealer’s left. During the show, hands are scored clockwise from the dealer’s left; each partner’s points are added to their team’s running total. The dealer scores their hand last, then scores the crib.

Game

First team to reach 121 points wins. Either partner reaching 121 on the shared track wins the game for the team.
